Summary

The Business and Environment Program (BEP) is one of the main strategies for environmental management within the business community in Thailand. The concept can be summarized in three activities : 1) The continued environment degradation and depletion of natural resources underlines the urgency for establishing environmental accountability, in combination with international and domestic legislation, 2) Environmental responsibility is increasingly included in corporate mandates and action oriented approaches for environmental conservation are adopted, and 3) Apart from helping to solve environmental challenges facing Thailand, these actions, such as waste reduction, improved energy efficiency and pollution prevention are also likely to give a competitive advantage to the business entity.

Personal Response

After I read the article, I think that the Business and Environment Program (BEP) is best program to operate the business community of Thailand. The main objective of BEP is sustainable with environmental responsibility is increasingly included in corporate mandates and action oriented approaches for environmental conservation are adopted , that’s care the environment among the business community, and prevent pollution, as well as the production of “green products” which have a minimal impact on the environment. From this entire objective make me sustainable with the Business and Environment Program (BEP) continue to improve in the Thailand Environment Institute.
