Summary
To honor His Majesty the King on his royal 80th Birthday in 2007, PTT marked this blessing opportunity to officially unveil “84 Tambons On A Sufficient Path Project", a project which follows His Majesty’s royal initiatives on sufficiency economy and realizes the concept in a concrete manner in the targeted 84 Tambons nationwide. The results of the project will be bestowed upon His Majesty in 2011 on an auspicious occasion of his Seventh- cycle Anniversary or 84th Birthday Anniversary.
Important that this project is continue from One-million-rai reforestation project. That project was successfully and have accept from other.
PTT realize that care the all environment is not enough. An idea efficiency economy can adapt with keep the environment. To be can stand by themselves. For better life in the future.
From experience that PTT ever works with Huay Khayeng Tambon, Amphur Thong Phaphumi, Kanchanaburi Province. Then they make model for development a community in efficiency economy. To be a study way of another Tambons in Thailand.
PTT and networks have to study , collect data and analysis together about community’s problem. For find the way to improve it.
It is a needed things to abide by efficiency economy is happiness in community. It is a immunization that can make everyone live together with happiness. That the King ever say “ enough is happiness , then happiness in enough “
PTT has been playing an important role in supporting, co-learning with the communities in creating the learning process for local people. With the 8 targets for sufficiency, which finally bring about the sufficient path towards local community, will set forth a sustained happiness for the people.
Personal Response
I agree with this project. And I think this project that PTT made is very good. It can give benefit in 2 ways. That is teach to people to do follow the philosophy that King said about efficiency economy. It can help that teach people to live with enough. And if everybody can live with enough , live with not destroy the environment. People and environment will can live together forever.
I think One-million-rai reforestation project is the project that good for the earth.
People in every region of Thailand help to afforest together in this project. I think when people join in this project or other people that know this project. They will thinking about environment better than after. Because they will look forward to look grow up tree that they was plant by themselves.
And I think to plant a tree is not the only way to save and help the earth. We can do something else together to help the earth. Such as save the energy when we don’t want to use some electronics in your home that is luxurious things. Or use 3R’s rule are recycle reduce reuse. This rule can help the earth too.
Environment will stay with people. If the environment love people. Then people mustn’t try to destroy the environment. It will make the environment hate people. Then everybody must love people. And give a hand to help the environment together. To save the environment to beside and help everything that need to help each other
