After I read the article. I think this project has benefit for the world in the long term because it is sustainable to use natural resource product. It effects on reducing energy and polluting water. So every company should apply to their business.

SCG
SCG is the first Thai company in the country to announce a policy on Green Procurement and put the policy into action by establishing the Guidelines for Green Procurement since 2004. SCG does not only show a strong intention to purchase products and services with less environmental impacts, but also urge the manufacturers to improve the development of more environmental friendly products and services.
At present, SCG has established Green Procurement List of Environmental Products and Services comprises of 108 lists from 32 brands, with the total purchase of 22 million Baht in 2006
Having recognized the significance of environmental management throughout the supply Chain, in 2007, SCG Sustainable Development Committee agrees to merge Greening the Supply Chain Project into the SCG Green Procurement by supporting suppliers who failed to meet the criteria for SCG Green Procurement in making improvement and correction and continuously enhance environmental conditions.

Philips awarded Best Environmental Company of the year 2008
Summary
The article said about Philips’s vision which is the factors contributed to the success of Philips. At first, the company aim to be leader in developing energy efficient lighting innovation and reducing environment impact to improve quality of life of people. As a global lighting business as well as energy efficient lighting solution to encourage consumers to save energy and combat global warming. As a result, Philips become as the Best Environment Company of the year 2008.

I think that the world today is a fragile place, its environmental health being increasingly threatened in many ways, from so-called ‘global warming’, caused mainly by carbon dioxide (CO2) emission from industry and from waste when products reach the ends of their useful lives. As a result, the safe and responsible management of our global environment is crucial for the health of our planet and all its inhabitants.

Permanent Reforestation Project in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne, Phase 3 (2003-2007)
SCB, with the cooperation of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, participated in a Permanent Reforestation Project in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of His Majesty the King's Accession to the Throne. The project’s goal was to achieve the reforestation of 14,015-rai in Tambon Therd Thai, Amphur Mae Fah Luang, Chiang Rai. The project theme was "Reforestation to Fight Against Poverty – Guidelines for Rural People to Live in Harmony with the Forests", and 7,232 Akha, Lahu, and Lau tribal people in 18 villages took part in the reforestation and conservation of watershed and communal forests. The planted trees had a high survival rate and the project accomplished its goal of reforesting the area within the first year, while maintaining this newly forested area in the second and third year.
Villagers were also provided with occupational development programs and farmer assistance funds for cooking gas, livestock, and crops in order to supplement their household incomes, resulting in better living quality and reciprocal benefits between villagers and the forest.

It’s call” idea green ” The idea green is a friendly for environment. The idea green is aimed at capturing a 10-15% share of the six-billion-baht printing and writing paper market in the next 12 months. Idea Green is the first paper product in Thailand to be certified with the Thai Green Label by the Thailand Environmental Institute.

I think the idea green is a good product because can save the money and to help environment. The idea green must to pay when you need to used but if you don’t need to pay you can used a recycle paper, some paper used 1 page it can use another page.
I think, in the present the environment was destroy by human such as burn a plastic or foam so we should to protect our natural and environment.

The sample of environmental activities are such as Green Walk Rally which we invited under privileged children to join the walk rally with the provision of the importance of environment conservation and impact, coral planting, etc.
